What's up lovely family, what's up? In prayer and seeking time this morning, I felt led to today's topic: I will NOT be a victim all of my life.
What does this mean, actually? I keep hearing "traumatic memories" and "broken hearts" have not only hurt us, but they are taking over our lives. There is a deliverance call out for healing of the emotionally wounded and broken.
I'm not referring to those who just experienced tragedy, loss, broken hearts, and brokenness. This is more for those who have been carrying the memories for YEARS. This is for those who can't seem to let go. This is for those who feel HOPELESS that healing, and true joy can be their portion in life ever again. Let's see what the Lord says about Job...
The Book of Job is in the Bible. His testimony contains 42 Chapters. Job's life had traumatic event after traumatic event. What did Job lose? EVERYTHING. Let's look at some of them:
Oxen and donkeys stolen - His livelihood
Servants killed - after a gang of Sabeans attacked them and stole the livestock
Sheep and servants were also killed
Camels stolen and those servants were killed by another gang! (all of these incidents are happening back to back the same day!)
ALL OF HIS CHILDREN WERE CRUSHED and DIED in Job's eldest son's home
Job's response was shocking!
20 Then Job arose, and rent his mantle, and shaved his head, and fell down upon the ground, and worshipped,
Worshipped? He worshipped God in the midst of these great back to back tragedies? My God! Job goes on to say...

Naked came I out of my mother's womb, and naked shall I return thither: the Lord gave, and the Lord hath taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord.
22 In all this Job sinned not, nor charged God foolishly.
Job 1:13-22
Job 1:13-22
Talk about a servant of God! Somehow Job knew that God was who he should run to and cry out to. That is only the half of it! People thought he was crazy for still worshipping God when in the midst of such great pain, (and by this time declining health). His very own wife turns on him and God...
His wife said to him, "Are you still maintaining your integrity? Curse God and die!
Job 2:9
Job 2:9
His very own friends accuse Job of wrong doing to warrant such suffering in his life. Job lamented at times, but he still MAINTAINED his commitment to God. He felt the pain. He suffered and cried out. But he still came back to God. Job's relationship with God grew stronger. Job repented and prayed for his friends. Yes! For that loves, GOD blessed him!
So the Lord blessed the latter end of Job more than his beginning: Job 42:12
The Lord replaced everything he lost (livestock and money) and then some! Job also had seven sons and three daughters. I love that part because I know those kids brought him joy again too. Job had overflow to leave inheritances! Job went on to live 140 years and saw his sons, and his sons' sons grow up.
My favorite part in the passage...
The LORD referred to Him as "my servant Job."
My favorite verse!
So Job died, being old and full of days. Job 42:17
I decree and declare that you will not die angry or bitter. You are coming out of this healed, whole, and stronger in the Lord. I decree and declare that your latter days are blessed 1,000 fold more than your beginning as it is written in Job 42:12. You are being filled with real joy...Unspeakable joy in the Lord. Your heart is being cleansed by the blood of Jesus. Your mind is being renewed right now by the blood of Jesus. Memories, hurts, tragedies are being healed in the Mighty and Powerful Name of Jesus Christ. Your days are long and FULL. In the name above every name, Jesus. Amen & Amen.
